Joost Platje (PhD) was born in the Netherlands. He graduated from the University of Groningen and developed his academic and professional career in Poland.

In CL Consulting i Logistyka Ltd. Joost Platje (PhD) is a specialist in logistics consulting, particularly in transport management in companies and in the management of transport infrastructure.

J. Platje (PhD) is also a lecturer at the University of Opole and the International School of Logistics and Transport in Wrocław.

During his professional career J. Platje (PhD) has been a member of numerous organizations. He is an editor and a secretary of the Editorial Board of Economic and Environmental Studies, a member of Editorial Board for the journal Management of Environmental Quality and finally a member of the Polish Association of Economists for Environment and Natural Resources. As an employee of University of Opole he is responsible for international cooperation at the Department of Economics and organizer of 15 scientific conferences.
